Internet Marketing Skeleton

That’s the big question on everyone’s mind. Some of you may already have a product in mind, but most people struggle to answer that question. Wouldn’t it be great if someone could just tell you exactly which products would be profitable? The fact is that you need to figure it out for yourself, but there are many sources which can help you get ideas, so let’s get started.

Sell what you love and you’ll love what you sell.

	Think about what you love. It could be traveling, cooking, gardening, fishing, hunting, dancing, reading, jogging, shopping, animals, books, education, furniture, cars, clothing, jewelry, horseback riding. The sky is the limit. No matter what it is you love, there are relevant products, services and eBooks just waiting to be sold by you.
	Think back on your childhood. What did you love to do as a child? What were your favorite toys? For instance, I loved to read French comic books as a child. I recently setup a web site where I sell French comic books and associated merchandise.

What is on the consumers’ minds.

	Watch television shows like Oprah, Martha Stewart and others.
	Magazines are a great source to see out what’s hot today. As an example, if you’re in to Fly Fishing, read Fly Fishing consumer publications to find out which products are being promoted in that market.
	Read the lifestyle and business sections in newspapers.
	What is going on in the entertainment industry. Maybe you can get ready ahead of time and sell merchandise relevant to a movie that will be out in the near future.

Visit www.amazon.com to get ideas for products.

See the All Departments menu shown on the top left corner? Choose the Outdoor Recreation link under the Sports & Outdoors category. See the long list of products within that category that can give you ideas. For instance, selling Freeze-Dried Food could be your niche if it proves to be potentially profitable.

eBay – another excellent source for ideas.

	Visit this link listings.ebay.com which shows all the ebay categories. Click on the “See all Antiques categories” link located at the bottom of the Antiques category. You’ll see a ton of ideas and that’s just from one top level category.
	eBay Pulse is a great tool to see popular searches on eBay. Visit this link pulse.ebay.com Choose the Books category from the Category pull-down menu. This shows you the top 10 keyword searches within that category. Now choose Cookbooks from the Book Category pull-down menu. Now you can see the top 10 keyword searches for cookbooks.
