How To Register A Domain Name
Whether you purchase your domain name through a Web Hosting Provider or a Domain Name Provider (Registrar), your domain name will be registered with InterNIC through a Registrar such as www.GoDaddy.com.
The cost of registration varies from registrar to registrar so why pay $35.00 for a .com domain name when you can get one for less than $10. A domain name must be registered for at least one year and renewed before it expires. All this would be done through the company where you purchased the domain name.
Buy Domain Names Cheap
To buy domain names cheap is easy as many Web Hosting Providers offer a free domain name if you sign up to their Web Hosting service. For instance, at www.GoDaddy.com you can buy a domain name for $1.99 but only when you buy at least one additional product. If you want to have your web site hosted at www.GoDaddy.com
then it’s a good deal.
Personally I don’t like having strings attached to my domain names. I would rather pay the $9.99 plus tax to purchase only a domain name. That being said, the best place to buy domain names cheap with no strings attached is still at www.GoDaddy.com. A top level domain such as .com costs $9.99 plus tax. You can pay a lot less if you change the top level domain to .info which currently costs 99 cents with GoDaddy.
www.GoDaddy.com is where I buy all my domain names. Affiliate Marketers have many web sites since it goes without saying that having 10 web sites promoting products will make more money than just 1 web site. My point is that www.GoDaddy.com
is a great place to buy a cheap domain name. Each time I buy one it costs me only $10.19 including tax and I can manage all my domain names in one place.
The thing to watch out for when buying a domain name at www.GoDaddy.com is that they will try to sell you everything under the sun while you’re trying to checkout. At the end of the buying process, just remove everything that might be in there by mistake until you end up with just the domain name in the shopping cart. It should not be more than slightly over $10.00, unless you chose other services such as domain name protection, or if you chose to buy your domain name for more than one year at a time.
I’ve put together a demonstration to show you the process of registering a domain with GoDaddy, and to show you how to do it the quick way.
